Handling: 5ML, 2.5ML or pediatric lavender tube acceptable. 2 peripheral smears. Should be analyzed within 72 hours of collection if stored at 2 to 8 degrees C. PROCEDURE: Routine daily turnaround time is 1-4 hours. Stat procedures available 24 hours a day. Emergency or stat results are available within 30 minutes unless special additional verification procedures are required. Ordering physician will be notified if turnaround time is exceeded.
