Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (flexible with shift start/end time)

Primary Function:
Pathologists’ Regional Laboratory (PRL) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator for our new clinical lab location. This employee will monitor and coordinate repairs and projects, ensure facility safety and compliance standards are upheld, assist with material and equipment record maintenance, and assist with adhering to Joint Commission compliance standards and procedures.
Work Performed:
- Follow and demonstrate PRL’s core values, which includes mutual respect and teamwork, a collegial work environment, and commitment to staff and patient safety.
- Understand and adhere to all safety and HIPAA related standards to ensure high quality patient care.
- Facilities maintenance: Maintains refrigerators, freezers, generator, and other equipment following standard procedures.
- Safety & Professionalism: Creates and maintains fire drill and safety protocols, complies with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory agency regulations.
- Joint Commission: maintains Joint Commission related policies and procedure standards related to laboratory guidelines, works with safety coordinator to ensure proper documentation and policies are followed.
- Other duties as assigned: Assist receiving specialist with duties or other special projects as needed
Experience Background:
- Experience handling and storing materials and supplies.
- 5+ more years’ experience in facilities, healthcare, or laboratory setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards.
- Available to handle emergencies outside of regular business hours if needed.
Educational Background:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in facility management or related field preferred.
Additional Information:
Key Competencies:
- Strong organizational and technical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to be on feet most of day, and able to lift products weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements preferred.
Licenses:
Valid driver’s license in good standing required.
