GLUC TOL TEST W/O 0.5HR SPEC

Handling: PROCEDURE: GLUCOSE TOLERENCE: Screen fasting urine glucose with dipstix and draw fasting sample. If dipstix is positive, run fasting glucose and call DR for instructions. If dipstix is negative: Give a bottle (100MGS) of the glucose test beverage and collect blood and urine at times intervals over the next 3-5 hours post glucose load. I.E. One half, 1,2, and 3 hours. NOTE: The one half hour collection may be omitted by some doctors.
