Handling: All samples should be collected in a res top tube. Heparin plasma may be used. Stable for 8 hrs at room temperature, 48 hrs refrig the amount and time of the last dose of medication is required. Draw before the next dose for trough levels. 1 ML Serum(0.5 ML Minimum) PROCEDURE: Turnaround times. The test is performed daily. Stats are available 24 hrs a day. Stat results are available 45 minutes after the sample reaches the lab. The ordering physician will be notified if the turnaround time is going to be exceeded. REFERENCE RANGE: PROCAINAMIDE: 4-10 ug/ml NAPA: 6-20 ug/ml COMBINED: 5-30 ug/ml
